Printing
SUPPLYING COMPLETED DESIGN AND LAYOUT
If you prefer to work with your own graphic
artists, Media Tek Optical can accept your mechanicals, disk, or
film. Failure to meet our specifications may result in additional
charges and delay your job. Of couse we will make every effort to
use your supplied materials
GENERAL
When we receive supplied mechanicals, disks
or film, we check carefully to be sure they meet our specifications.
We might need to make minor adjustments as necessary. You will receive
a proof if major changes are required.
REMOVABLE MEDIA
Media Tek Optical can accept: 3.5" Floppy Disks,
SyQuest cartridges (44MB, 88MB, 105MB, 200MB, 270MB, or EZ135),
IoMega ZIP or JAZ, or CD-ROM. On the Mactintosh, we can accept QuarkXpress,
Macromedia, FreeHand, PageMaker and Illustrator. On the PC, we can
accept Windows Corel Draw, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, and PageMaker.
ALONG WITH YOUR FILES, YOU MUST PROVIDE:
- Directory of files on disk, indicating which are to be output
- Hard copy (printout) of all pieces for our reference
- Screen and printer fonts of all typefaces you use
- All linked graphics (EPS, TIFF, PICT, etc.)
- Special instructions, including if additional scans are required
FILM
Film for printed material should be negative,
right reading emulsion up, 100 line screen. Color Key/cromalin proof
MUST accompany color film, Velox/stat MUST accompany black &
white film. Also see general specifications. For printing on compact
disc itself, include the industry CD Logo and make film positive,
right reading emulsion up, 120 line screen and to Media Tek Optical
requirements.
